Christian Faith FAQ
What is a Christian?
A Christian is person who believes Jesus is the Son of God and in faith, decide to follow His teachings.
What do Christians believe?
Christians believe God is holy, just and full of love. He cannot look at or touch the unholy things people think, say and do, (sin). This causes a barrier between people and God. To break through this barrier, God sent Jesus, His holy Son, to take the payment for all of mankind’s sin and to offer His forgiveness when we say sorry, (repent). This enables those who believe and love Jesus, to enter into a living relationship with Him on earth and to have salvation and everlasting life with God in Heaven.
How can I become a Christian?
Speak quietly or out loud (sinners prayer of confession), and tell God you are sorry for your sin and ask for His forgiveness. Say that you want to follow Jesus and for Him to be part of your life. Contact a local church and consider being part of their community for love, support and teaching.
Why does God allow bad things to happen?
God gives us the freedom to make our own choices. Sometimes those choices cause harm to others. God uses bad decisions for His good purposes and brings people, into His kingdom, regardless of whether they are the innocent party or the perpetrator. God’s grace, (love, character and purpose), are available for everyone. No action, word or thought against another person is unforgiveable. Only blaspheming against the Holy Spirit (God’s power) is unforgiveable.
